Use the NASA path map to check your exact site. Solar protection is required throughout an annular eclipse, including when the ring is complete.

Where to look

Annularity crosses parts of Chile, Argentina and the Atlantic. A wider region sees a partial eclipse.

Never look directly at the Sun through a telescope or binoculars without an appropriate, correctly installed solar filter specifically designed for that equipment. Read the filter guide.
